My Picnic Series

Voila, my picnic series. I imagine if Jackie O & Lana Del Rey had a picnic together it would look a lot like this. The perfect end of summer vibe to fulfill all your gingham needs. Be sure to watch my video look book all the way at the end for some behind the scenes clips (& one of Lana’s new songs)!

Most of these dresses are from Reformation. If you didn’t already love them, then I’ll tell you why you should. Reformation’s slogan is, “Being naked is the #1 most sustainable option. We’re #2.” They manufacture most of their clothing in the United States & use sustainable methods & materials. They want to show that you can still wear beautiful styles but at a fraction of the environmental impact of conventional fashion. They stress on how fashion is the third most polluting industry in the world, & the second largest consumer & polluter of water.  They have a RefScale that tracks the pounds of carbon dioxide emitted & gallons of water used to make & wear their clothes. So once you purchase an item, in your confirmation email they actually show you how much H2O & CO2 your garments took them to make versus how much the ‘industry standard’ would have taken to make. So for example, I saved 4,802 gallons of water & 96 lbs of CO2 by buying their clothes. They also plant forests to try & naturally capture CO2 from the air &  invest in clean water solutions. Everything from the paper, pens, & furniture they use in their stores/offices, to the hangers the clothes are shipped on, to the packaging you see when your box arrives, EVERYTHING is recycled content & reclaimed wood. The price tag is worth your penny people. Especially when you’re saving the Earth.

The lemon dress I’m wearing is from For Love & Lemons. And if you know me, I have a weakness for their dresses so when I saw they actually did a LEMON collection I had to own a piece. Some call it excessive spending, I call it ‘trying to be the next Carrie Bradshaw’ & treating myself (to each their own, right lol).

Thank you to Morgan for always saying yes to my weird ideas; Tyler for taking pics, putting up with the photoshoot process, & putting up with my ~sometimes~ diva ass; my mom for helping bake everything & always being my go-to photog.
