We’re getting to the tail end of college. I’m becoming a washed up senior. I’ve soaked up all the information I possibly could in my 4 years at FSU. Is that enough mermaid puns to introduce this post? Ok but seriously I have enough tales from spring break to write a damn book.
Starting at Okeechobee Music Festival (which was amazing, weird, wild, and dirty) then onto Key West (which was just wild) then to south Florida where the main photo shoot was. I included some Okeechobee pics because it’s my blog and I can do what I want- no but really this place was a breathtaking world to be a part of for a weekend and I figured you guys would want to see.

Now onto the mermaid part. First off, I need a mermaid tail. A custom fit, silicone, mermaid tail. They are WAY harder to come by then you would think trust me. If anyone has a hookup, let ya girl know. Everything I am wearing, including the choker, is from Urban Outfitters. This skirt is very light and gauzy until it gets wet and filled with sand then it feels like 15lbs. I was covered in glitter all weekend from Okeechobee so I figured a little more wouldn’t hurt to make me look like a washed up mermaid. Huge shoutout to @JanelleJohnston for waking up at the ass crack of dawn with me for this. Fun fact: we woke up an extra hour early for this because we completely forgot about the clock time change and wondered why it was still pitch black outside when we got to the beach:) The outtakes from this morning are hysterical – I kept getting swept away with the tide and water kept getting in my ears.
My whole theme was a mermaid that got washed ashore and this amazing skirt as her tail. I don’t usually post the pictures in chronological order but I decided to for this one because I love how the sunrise changed colors every couple minutes.
(Damn that choker though)
