This day was nothing short of a weird, typical adventure only I could encounter. I could NOT wait to get back to school to photograph this dress immersed in these huge southern cypress/oak trees with the falling Spanish moss. I wanted this shoot to have very eerie, just walked out of the woods/swamp, forest nymph vibes. It was mayyyyybe 50 degrees out – in the sun. Don’t let these photos deceive you…I had goose bumps the size of Mount Everest. But don’t worry I’ll get to that later. First off, we ended up going to the wrong park, figured it out and went back to the car. Tried to start the car and it wouldn’t start…I ran out of gas. I had to call AAA to come give me gas but they wouldn’t be there for like an hour. So we decided what the hell let’s just see if we can get some pics here while we wait. We ended up getting some of the best photos of the day at this random little park we didn’t even want to stay at. Precursor: creepy filter was only added to the pics it looked best on!!
(literally looking for the AAA truck)
After AAA gave me gas, we finally made it to the original park we wanted to go to. The road takes you through a development then randomly dead-ends at this HUGE park/forest surrounded by water. The sun was setting pretty fast so we literally ran into the woods. I immediately take my shoes off and run into the brush. I LOVE how the color of this dress pops in front of dead brush. The color screams fall/Halloween to me and north Florida seasons are always behind so this is basically the fall I’m used to up north. Mad props go to Chelsea for photographing these and freezing her ass off with me to get these shots. Those creepy, fresh out of the woods vibes I imagined came to life perfectly!
(peep the goose bumps)
